2020: the year the Netherlands commemorates 75 years of Freedom. The year in which the Netherlands, as part of the world, is dominated by the consequences of the outbreak of the Corona virus, but continues to commemorate, honor and celebrate.

Bridge to Liberation 2020 will be a special edition with all the familiar elements, adapted to the world we live in today. For once we are not at the holy ground of the historic John Frost Bridge, but sit with family / friends or alone, watching television or another screen.

This year Bridge to Liberation -screen experience-
will be more visual, more intimate, and most importantly, getting close.

We have been living in the Netherlands in freedom for 75 years. What binds us in 2020 is that we live in a free country where we have the freedom to say what we think, to believe what we want. To be who we want without hunger or fear.

What is freedom? What is freedom? Bridge to Liberation -Screen Experience- in 2020 is about regaining freedom from freedom and how fighting for someone’s freedom can lead to freedom.

We need each other to safeguard our freedom.
We are responsible for each other’s freedom.
