What we do

Wat we doen

The Bridge to Liberation Foundation has set itself the goal of reflecting on the impact of the Battle of Arnhem in a new way and both with and for a wide audience. Learning from this and translating the lessons into ones for today and the future increases the relevance of understanding and appreciating the impact of war and the value of freedom for future generations.

Bridge to

Every year we organise Bridge to Liberation, a free multimedia public event where everyone feels welcome. Here the passing on of memories is central and this results in education and more participation.

Bridge to

We approach each target group in its own intriguing way. We involve everyone through original interactive associated side projects aimed at conveying the impact of war and the value of freedom.

New generations have different needs. So as we get further and further away from WW2, it is important to give remembrance and commemoration a different form and purpose in addition to remembering, honouring and offering comfort. Within the new commemoration, stories from the past remain important, both for now and in the future. These memories show that certain dilemmas apply to and affect all times. In this way, Bridge to Liberation serves a wide audience within our modern society.
