An experience with music, special effects, film and dance takes you in a spectacular way through true personal stories during the Battle of Arnhem. This year is the seventh edition of Bridge to Liberation. The year that the Netherlands commemorates 75 years of Freedom. But also the year in which the Netherlands, as part of the world, is dominated by the consequences of the Coronavirus outbreak. Bridge to Liberation remained Bridge to Liberation and was organized according to the applicable guidelines of the RIVM. This year you experienced Bridge to Liberation 'on screen'. 'Corona-proof', innovative and for everyone! Bridge to Liberation was broadcast LIVE on television and on various live streams.

Prior to Bridge to Liberation, we commemorate the Battle of Arnhem (17-25 September 1944) and the subsequent forced evacuation of the residents of Arnhem in the presence of the veterans at the official commemoration on Airborneplein. Attendees then give a salute of honor to the veterans who still return to Arnhem every year with their families, keep the stories alive and pass them on to future generations.
