What we doWhat we do The Bridge to Liberation Foundation has set itself the goal of reflecting on the impact of the Battle of Arnhem in a new way, with a broad audience. Learning from this and translating lessons to now and the future increases the relevance of the impact of war and the value of freedom for generations to come.

From 2022-2025 we will further enhance our mission by sharing the historic international relevance of the Battle of Arnhem, as part of Operation Market Garden (1944). We shape the themes together with our client, the municipality of Arnhem, partners from the Airborne Region and (inter)national museums and memorial organizations.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE DO THIS

New generations bring different needs. As we move further and further away from WWII, it is important to give commemoration a different form and purpose in addition to remembering, honoring and offering comfort. Within the new commemoration, stories from the past remain important, now and in the future. These memories show that certain dilemmas are timeless. Bridge to Liberation serves a broad audience within our modern society.
