2019: Multiple faces

War has many faces. There is not one truth. Every person has their own experience of the past. Wherever there are people, there are different perceptions and different memories. Personal stories therefore give multiple faces to one event. In Bridge to Liberation, various personal stories are told from a British, Polish, German and Dutch point of view.

Story: multiple faces

September 2019 marks the 75th anniversary of Operation Market Garden, which included the Battle of Arnhem; the largest operation on Dutch soil during the Second World War.

In this special edition of Bridge to Liberation, the various personal stories were told in multi-perspectives and reinforced with musicians from different countries. Together with the audience and delegates from various countries, we looked back into history and carried the impact of the Battle of Arnhem into the future.
