Jesse Laport

Jesse Laport (1991), certified writer, was appointed City Poet of Arnhem in 2012 (and still is), as well as an organizer, writer, presenter, actor, musician, editor and guest lecturer. Previously, Jesse Laport - who always appears on stage in a suit and tie - has performed for the Royal Family, at the Geen Daden Maar Woorden Festival, Zwarte Cross, Pukkelpop, in Paradiso, gave a Ted talk, and spoke much more. Laport is the main speaker and presenter at Mensen Zeggen Dingen, and organizer and face of the open stage Tapschrift. His work appeared in various collections, newspapers, magazines, on walls and in halls. He mainly gives workshops to groups of young people, at the art academy and at primary schools.

Jesse Laport's work can be described as a musical, accessible, often humorous reflection, which first makes you enjoy and then makes you think. Pleasure is guaranteed.
