Karsu started performing at the age of fourteen in her father's Turkish restaurant in Amsterdam. Her breakthrough came at the age of 17 with a performance at Carnegie Hall, New York. She has since performed in more than twenty countries and several prestigious venues.
Her music style combines classical, jazz, pop and Turkish influences. She released several albums, including 'Confession' (2012) and 'Colors' (2015), and won the Edison Audience Award in 2016. In 2021 she scored a number 1 hit in Turkey with the single 'Sonunda' and got her own cooking program on 24Kitchen.
In February 2022 she resumed her club tour through the Netherlands and performed in a sold-out Paradiso. On May 5, 2024, Karsu presented the Liberation Concert on the Amstel in Amsterdam with Frits Spits, where she also performed.
