Sef, born Yousef Gnaoui, is a Dutch rapper who rose to fame with the hits 'Me Nikes' with The Opposites and 'Stuk' with The Partysquad, Dio and Sjaak. He is co-founder of the rap group Flinke Namen, together with The Flexican.
Sef broke through in 2006 with 'Me Nikes'. In 2008 he scored hits with 'Piece' and 'Tijdmachine' with Dio, and was nominated for the State Awards as Rookie Of The Year. Flinke Namen's debut album, 'Superstuntwerk', was released in 2009.
In 2011, Sef released his solo album 'De Leven', the title track of which won a State Award for best single. His second album, 'In Kleur', was released in 2015 and was named Album of the Week by 3FM.
Sef is known for his creative approach, such as creating a glossy magazine as a CD booklet for 'In Kleur'. He remains active in the Dutch music world and explores social themes in his work.
