Thomas Oliemans is a leading Dutch baritone who performs internationally on opera and concert stages. He made his debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York as Papageno. In the 2023-24 season he will return to the National Opera Amsterdam and the Staatsoper Berlin.
Oliemans has performed at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Staatsoper Hamburg, and the Salzburg Festival, among others. He collaborates with conductors such as Daniel Barenboim and Yannick Nézet-Séguin. His repertoire includes works from Bach to contemporary composers.
Oliemans is a much sought-after recitalist and accompanies himself on the piano for Schubert's Winterreise. His recordings include Brahms' Die schöne Magelone and Schumann's Dichterliebe. He gave master classes at the Dutch National Opera and the Academia Reina Sofia in Madrid.
