Vinchenzo, together with the other artists, conveys the feeling of the story in Bridge to Liberation -screen experience- with his beautiful voice. The theme “FREE” really appeals to him. By participating, he hopes that he can make Dutch people aware that being free and freedom is not always self-evident. Vinchenzo Tahapary grew up in Tiel. The 20-year-old singer became known through the program “The Voice Of Holland”. Vinchenzo comes from a very musical family and it doesn't take long until he ends up in the music world himself. Vinchenzo performed for the first time at the age of 8. Together with his father he sings the song 'Father & Friend' by Alain Clark. At the age of 10, Vinchenzo signed up for the RTL-4 program “My Name Is Michael” and made a strong impression and ended up among the last 10 candidates. As a result, Vinchenzo is selected for a role in the musical 'Flipje', which is organized by sixteen primary schools in his hometown. He is assigned the role of Michael Jackson and therefore performs twice a day for a week.
In 2012 he participated in The Voice Kids, where he made it to the sing-offs. In 2016, as a 16-year-old, he participated in the 'adult' edition of The Voice of Holland (Season 7), where he reached the final and came third.
Last season Vinchenzo could be admired together with Nochtli Peralta Sanchez in the dance program Dance Dance Dance on SBS6.
When asked about his ambitions, Vinchenzo is modest but decisive. Everything has been taken care of for him, but if you look deep into his heart, he also wants to become the greatest artist. With influences such as Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake and Chris Brown, it is no wonder that he also wants to be a triple threat: singing, dancing and writing songs, that is the plan.
“A complete act with accessible music, good singing and dance, that is what I want to bring to the Netherlands. You don't really have that international sparkle here. I want to become an artist who shows up with fireworks and puts on a whole show with eight dancers. A real pop star. And if the opportunity presents itself, I do have the ambition to become the largest in the whole of the Netherlands, yes. I just do my best; if it happens, it happens.”
