Winfried Baijens

After completing his journalism training at the Tilburg School of Journalism, Winfried Baijens worked for NOVA . In May 2001, he conducted an interview with Hein Hansen Khalil El Moumni in which he made controversial statements about homosexuality. From 2003 to 2007 he was a reporter and presenter of the Jeugdjournaal . He then presented the NOS Journaal on 3 Margriet Wesselink . Sometimes he also acted as a reporter for this program. Later he could be heard every Monday to Thursday on the public radio station NPO Radio 6 , between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM with his program Winfrieds Woonkamer . BNN Today on Tuesdays and Fridays, usually together with Willemijn Veenhoven. Since 2006 he has also occasionally worked for NOS Evenementen .

On September 16, Winfried takes us on an evening full of encounters with people who carry the impact of war and share their value of freedom.

In November 2016, he joined the NOS Journaal as a presenter and as a substitute and regular presenter on Saturdays of the NOS Radio 1 Journaal. In 2019, he replaced Rob Trip for a few months as the permanent presenter of the Achuurjournaal and during the final debate for the Provincial Council elections, due to Trip's illness. Later in 2019, Baijens started the series Behind the headlines on the NOS YouTube channel.

Awards
Baijens received an award for TV talent, the Golden Tape from the Dutch Society of Editors-in-Chief and won the Cinekid audience award for the Jeugdjournaal Annual Review of 2003. In December 2006, Baijens was in third place in the Expreszo 100 (published by gay youth magazine Expreszo ), the list of the 100 famous Dutch and Flemish people who express their 'gayness' in a positive way.
