Although Jim has been playing in bands and musicals from a young age, his life changes when he participates in the first Dutch edition of the TV talent show IDOLS in 2002 and finishes 2nd in the final.
He made, among other things, the albums; Impressed (2003), Ready (2004), Dance With Me (2005), Vrij (2007), Nu (2009), Shoulder (2014) and released numerous (number 1 and top 10) singles. Jim has also done several theater tours and a sold-out concert at the Afas Live.
On September 16, Jim will be on stage at Bridge to Liberation. And we are proud of that!

He presented TV programs such as De Weg Naar Fame (RTL4), RTL Boulevard (RTL4), Shownieuws (SBS) and the talent show The Band (Fox).
Jim played in films such as: Aflijfs (2006), In Love with Ibiza (2013), Rokjesdag (2015), Mega Mindy VS Rox (2015), Onze Jongens (2016), Housewives Don't Exist (2017), Heavy In Love (2018) , Housewives Don't Exist 2 (2019), Our Boys in Miami (2020), Casanova's (2020), Heavy In Love 2 (2020) and Just Say Yes (2021).
Jim played the male lead in numerous musicals such as Grease (2006), Fame (2008), Hairspray (2009), Wicked (2011), Flashdance (2013), Hartsvrienden (2015), The Girl with the Red Hair (2015), On Your Feet (2017), Musicals in Concert (2017) and All Stars (2018)
In 2020, Jim returns to the theater solo after 13 years with the personal program “Klein”. With an all-summarizing title, Jim and a pianist provide his audience with an intimate ode to the most beautiful Dutch songs.
