Lisa Lois

Lisa Lois, born and raised in Wageningen, knows the importance of freedom. For her, freedom means being able to be who you want to be. Being able to do what you've always dreamed of. "Yet, we still take our freedom for granted too often, and we need to be vigilant about that," says Lisa.

With her magnificent voice, Lisa will convey the story's emotions. The theme of FREEDOM suits her perfectly, and we'll see and hear it again on September 18th.

Lisa Lois is a Dutch singer known for winning X Factor in 2009, multiple gold and platinum records and two very successful theatre tours Lisa Lois sings: Adele. Because of her powerful, warm and international sound one would not think that she is Dutch, but nothing could be further from the truth. That Lisa Lois is more than just a talent show winner was proven when the song with which she won X Factor, Hallelujah, ended up at number 1 in the Top 40 for 10 weeks. With this she achieved a record, namely, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the longest number 1 hit from a talent show ever. It is no surprise that this song went double platinum.

Her success continued to grow. Her debut album, "Smoke," was certified gold in pre-sale and presented by none other than world-class singer Jessie J. This album also went platinum. On her second album, "Breaking Away," released in 2013, Lisa Lois proved she belonged among the Dutch elite not only as a singer but also as a songwriter. The single "Silhouette," taken from "Breaking Away," became one of the most played records of 2013, earning the singer a Buma Award.

Lisa Lois demonstrated her versatility last year with the second edition of her successful theater tour, "Lisa Lois sings: Adele," which sold out venues across the country. After the first tour, the singer was ready to return to the studio to create new music. After a creative journey, she has since found her own fresh sound. A huge relief, as she felt she'd lost her musical identity for a while.
