2019: Multiple Faces

War has many faces. There is no single truth. Everyone has their own perception of the past. Wherever there are people, there are different perceptions and different memories. Personal stories therefore offer multiple perspectives on a single event. Bridge to Liberation tells various personal stories from British, Polish, German, and Dutch perspectives.

Story: Multiple Faces

September 2019 marks the 75th anniversary of Operation Market Garden, the largest operation on Dutch soil during World War II, including the Battle of Arnhem.

In this special edition of Bridge to Liberation, the various personal stories were told from multiple perspectives and reinforced by musicians from various countries. Together with the audience and delegates from various countries, we looked back at history and carried the impact of the Battle of Arnhem into the future.
