Michael Wilmering is a Dutch baritone who obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees cum laude from the Utrecht Conservatory. He has sung roles at the Dutch National Opera, Opera Zuid, and in international houses such as Stuttgart and Ravenna. Notable roles include Papageno (Die Zauberflöte), Mercutio (Roméo et Juliette), and Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro).
Besides opera, he has a strong passion for the lied repertoire. He has won several prizes at the International Vocalists Competition and performed at the International Lied Festival in Zeist. With the multidisciplinary production Grenze(n)loos (Grenze(n)loos), he also revealed his theatrical and creative side. Wilmering regularly collaborates with leading directors and conductors and is praised for his expressiveness and artistic eloquence.
