Michael Wilmering is a Dutch baritone who completed his bachelor's and master's degrees with honors at the Utrecht Conservatory. He has sung roles with the Dutch National Opera, Opera Zuid, and international opera houses such as Stuttgart and Ravenna. Notable roles include Papageno ( The Magic Flute ), Mercutio ( Roméo and Juliette ), and Figaro ( The Marriage of Figaro ).
Besides opera, he has a strong passion for the lied repertoire. He has won several prizes at the International Vocalists Competition and performed at the International Lied Festival in Zeist. With the multidisciplinary production Grenze(n)loos (Grenze(n)loos), he also revealed his theatrical and creative side. Wilmering regularly collaborates with leading directors and conductors and is praised for his expressiveness and artistic eloquence.
