We ourselves do not live in war,
but witness war in other countries.
We receive people at our gates who,
just as our own ancestors were once driven from their homes,
seeking safety.
If history teaches us anything,
it is that roles can turn in an instant.
What do we choose to do?
That is the real question.
Who do we want to be?
The world we live in today
demands people with compassionate hearts.
People determined never to go to war again,
And provide a home for another.
