Anzelika fled Ukraine without her family in 2022 and was admitted to Arnhem. She misses her family every day and remains terrified.

The design

Yellow and blue, the color of sunflowers and the sky, are also the colors of Ukraine; the colors of home. Flowers give her positive energy.

The flower shape of her hip piece alludes to this. The sleeves of the shirt hold her head, protecting her from any fear she feels. The ribbon around her head evokes the ribbons of Ukrainian folk costume.
